This is the info I was not allowed to post during the contest:
The Custom Saber Shop is having a lightsaber building contest. So, I decided that my skills are just good enough to enter and not finish last. Lets hope!
For part one, I am posting the design pics. I fooled around with the saber builder app and came up with some stuff. and eventually found something I liked and ordered it. The concept is part Anakin and part Obi.
Here is the first idea:
This is what that turned into:
Then I thought about this... big difference hu?
Then I decided on this:
This saber will feature a MR Jedi sound board, a LedEngin RGBA LED set to purple, Hopefully a green flash on clash and/or momentary switch for on-demand flash, one red illuminated switch, and three red accent LED's that will turn on sequentially, and possibly a bunch of other blinky LED's just for fun in the Graflex clamp, (the mom switch will be in the clamp)
This is the sketch I did after realizing I could use a sound board in this saber. At first I was going to use a 7.4v battery pack and a buckpuck to control the LED. But I think a saber with sound is fitting for this contest. I hope it works!
